Copyright Info for this site

I sometimes make use of copyrighted material on this site. This document is to explain my take on the whole thing.

Every image I show is either obtained for a garunteed legal source, like borrowing a book cover image from Amazon.com, or scanned in myself from a book I own, or have checked out from the library. It is my goal for every image to have the correct copyright clearly portrayed, and to have information about the product/artist/author available in the form of

I occaisonally include blurbs that are written about or in copyrighted material (such as book descriptions, reveiws etc). I never present this as my own work, I provide it as a reference for users of my site.

If you find I have not given credit to the copyright owner of some image or text, please email me immediately so that I can fix it. If you are the copyright owner of any material found on this site, and you object to my usage of it in any way, email me and I will remove the offending content. It is not my intention to deprive anyone of their proper due as far as copyright goes.

All images and text on this site is copyrighted to me unless explicity stated otherwise. If you wish to use any image, text or programs from this site, I request that you give me credit for it and provide a link to my site. I'd also love it if you contact me and let me know how you are using the things I provide here. If you are going to use images/programs from this site, PLEASE copy these to your site and don't reference them directly! For example, if your website is www.geocities.com/~pickle don't use a link like

<img src=http://gershwin.utdallas.edu/pics/myimg.jpg>

instead use
<img src=http://www.geocities.com/~pickles/pics/myimg.jpg>

The reason for this is simple. I don't want extra traffic through my site that doesn't in any way relate to my site, and I reserve the right to move/change the images without worrying about who has linked to them.

Since many of my images are in a database, with multiple sizes, titles, technical info, etc I can understand why you might want to link to the TCL program that displays these images. If you want to do so, talk to me about it and we'll work something out.
